This app is for USAA members with an active auto insurance policy in select states who’ve enrolled in either our USAA SafePilot® or USAA SafePilot Miles™ programs. Benefits of the USAA DriveSafe App: Automatic trip data: The app uses GPS and other sensors to map your trips and understand when and how you're driving. Driving insights: Keep track of your driving habits — like how much you drive, phone usage while driving and harsh braking. Crash assistance: If a crash is detected, we'll check if you're OK and help you with next steps. Quicker claims process: If you choose to file a claim after an accident, your driving information from the app could help move along the claims process.
